That translates in to a high Money Factor (which in Lease Speak is roughly the interest rate being charged - 2,400 times the Money Factor)...

They're probably thinking 'this electric vehicle can only go 100 miles per charge, who will drive it that distance more than 75 times a year?' ha. You'd think they would look at Leaf usage or something first to see how many miles people are putting on.

Do you think there'd be an option to increase the yearly mileage, or is that the only lease option offered by Mercedes-Benz?

Long story short, no huge discounts but it is nice to get the full $7500 credit right away. I don't think BMW was as generous with the Federal credit for leases.

Re-examining this I am little confused. The sticker price was $49,595, so if the Fed credit was deducted off the price of the car, the cost should be $49595 - ($7500 + $3750) = $38,345. So using a generous Money Factor of 0.0016 we get:

Net Cap Cost: $38,345
Residual = $23,000
Depreciation amount: 15,345
Depreciation Fee = (38,435-23,000) / 36 = $426.25
Finance fee = (38,435+23,000) * 0.0016 = $98.15

Total Lease payment should be $426.25 + $98.15 = $524.40, but if the payment is $650 then the Money Factor is around 0.0037 which is a pretty high 8.78% lease rate for 36months.

I will be interested to see what I am offered when my car shows up...

I got a quote between $500 to $600 a month with no money down and 10,000 per year. The internet sales rep the lease cost can very from month to month

36 months and 7.5k miles have a residual of 48%
36 months and 10k miles have a residual of 47%
36 months and 12k miles have a residual of 46%

The money factor for all three options are .00160

The $7500 federal credit is applied as a cap cost reduction

The lease acquisition fee is $795

MB has said nothing other than "next year..." I hope it is a CHAdeMo but suspect that it will be a SAE... If it IS a SAE, MB had better be planning to put a QC at every dealer like Nissan did or the QC port will be basically worthless in the U.S. where it is strongly a CHAdeMO world. There are a few combo CHAdeMO/SAE chargers out there but they are few and far between, and likely will be for quite some time.

Does Mercedes have a disposition fee when the leased vehicle is returned in addition to the lease-application fee? If so, what is it?

Nissan has a $365 disposition fee when I return my LEAF in May 2015.

Interesting. My salesman said otherwise, he stated that I would have to wait six months to order (to get the 2015 model year). If you go to the MBUSA site (https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/fleet_program/program_information#1-pane) and click on "Eligible Vehicles" you'll see the the following:

So I am pretty sure that the incentive is not available until the 2015 model.

The confusion may be what model year I ordered. My invoice says I'm getting a 2014, however since the car is scheduled to be assembled at the factory in September it could be a 2015. Sounds like I need to talk with the salesman again...thanks for pointing this out.
