Qestion: WA State: Got charged for Taxes on my lease payment

I started my b class lease couple months ago in Washington state when the electric vehicle was tax free in WA.

My new statement for July now have a new line for Tax!

Is anyone having similar issue? Furthermore, is this right?

My understanding from the research I've done is that the lease alternative to sales tax, or "use tax", is charged month-to-month on the lease payment instead of up-front lump sum like the sales tax. In this case, it makes sense that you would now see the use tax on all payments past 7/1/2015 as the new legislation takes effect.

Thanks... does that also sounds like the purchase option at the end of lease will be taxed as well? OUCH!
