I need to change the 12v battery in my 2014 Bclass. the napa store recommended I use an obd2 data saver to prevent losing the cars data, radio presets, seat positions etc. I have the schumacher device and it says not all cars manufacturers allow for it's use. Anyone know if it works on our B's? All it does is power the car's electronics through the obd2 port while you swap the battery out.

also curious what the little electronics module at the negative post on the battery is?

the OBD2 data saver device does not work with the BClass. But then it's not needed anyway so no matter. Just to make sure the device even works I reversed directions and tried FROM the Bclass to the Bolt and it works on the bolt.
