    Expiring Lease; Now What?

I received an order email. By the time color was chosen the car was 57K. They are only building fully optioned cars now. I really think a 35K car is a myth and it will never happen. I for one do not need the larger 310Mile 9K option. The ordinary battery pack would be good enough for me. It is...

White stickers don't really go well

On my dark grey VW I put them on magnetic sign material and normally kept them in my glove compartment. On my current car I did not bother since they expire at the end of the year. When I was rear ended in my 2014 the body shop gave me the portion of the bumper with the stickers. I had to send...

    Free charging

One thing about being retired is that I have time to wash my own car. Sure I could take it to Mercedes for a free wash but you still have to tip the wash people. When the cost of a wash with tip exceeded $10 I decided to do it myself. Besides that way I spot any door dings.

    Free charging

Many dealers offer free L2 charging. At the dealer I purchased my Leaf at there was an Aeroenvirememt open EVSE. For me it is more convenient to pay the money and charge at home. Both Mercedes dealers I have delft with have had free 30A at 208VAC EVSE'S. A true electric Mercedes is a rare thing...

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

Since I only use my B for local trips range does not matter. I keep forgetting to plug in my car. Today it was just under half when I went to lunch. Ideally I would charge at 75% but it gets me around. At 25% it reduces the power and I try to avoid that.

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

My dentist has a friend that is buying a 3 primarily for the supercharge network. If you travel it is hard to beat! He also changed his order to the loaded version to avoid the long wait, I guess if you live in Newport Beach you can afford the deluxe car.

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

The real thing is that most of us will have the B for a few more years. At that time there will be more choices. The Koreans have several cars announced. GM has said that EV's are in their plans. For me the Bolt is a non-starter. As for me I have until 9/19 to make up my mind. Who knows, I just...

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

All of the announced cars are using CCS for fast charging. It looks like Chademo is dead in this country except for Japanese cars. Then there is Tesla"s exclusive SuperCharger network that checks for authorized users and is exclusive to their cars.

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

Yes, there should be a lot of choices in the next couple of years. Most manufactures are coming out with electric cars. Volvo, and Jaguar at least on the high end. For those where money does not count Porsche has announced a ca.r.

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

Well my Tesla rejection failed with a full mailbox message. There is no way I am going to spend over 50K for a car. Since they are hurting they can have my 1K deposit.

When we can choose 200+ mile electric vehicles

Tesla's main advantage is the Supercharge network. If you want range over function there is always the Bolt. VW and Nisson have announced long range cars. By the time that your lease is up there should be a choice. I received an Email from Tesla asking me to configure my 3. The cars are in the...

My big list of B Class Suggestions

Since the car is now discontuned I doubt that there will be any changes. My 2017 was cheaper built than my 2014. They removed the nets, the sunglass holder and the fold down trays from the seat backs. That said, I love the car and it fits my needs.

    Quarter panel got keyed!

I keep an uncluttered path in my garage so I can park there. It is really just a tunnel with my stuff on either side. It is called a two car garage but my one car just fits.

    Quarter panel got keyed!

Since your vehicle is leased you have to get it fixed, Either now or prior to turn in.

    B Class Recall Notice

I can attest that the air bags worked properly in my old car. It was curious that a lower bag came out and with no feet on the pedals it braked itself.

I also got a notice for my totaled 2014. I just round filed it.

    Expiring Lease; Now What?

From what I see they are out of money and the market is balking. You are obviously a true believer. Me, I am going to wait a few months.

    Expiring Lease; Now What?

I think the X would be reliable for me given my limited range. I had 14 months left on my totaled 2014 B with 9K miles . These days I do not drive much The thing that absolutely terrifies me is Tesla's financial position. Pretty much investors ignore reality and they worship the cult of Elon...

    Expiring Lease; Now What?

I received a postcard that the Newport Tesla dealer had a 3 on the floor. I did not fit in the S or s but the X was wonderful. I am worried about Tesla's financial health. It would be terrible to be stuck with an 86K orphan. While the $1100 lease payment is doable It would not be nice if Tesla...

    Expiring Lease; Now What?

Well, I went to Newport Beach's Tesla store. The S And the 3 sit two low for my body. The X was perfect but I am not sure I am willing to risk 86K given their shaky finances. Sense I never carry rear seat passengers the doors should be fine. The lease was $1100 after 5K down. That is $500 more...
