    Leasing

It requires around $4K down though and is only 10K miles a year for three years... There is also a $600 vehicle turn in fee at the end of the lease... Not a great deal, really.

Range package - electrically heated windshield

Hopefully someone will come up with the types of aftermarket meters that we have had for years for the Leaf and that gives you all that information and far more...

    2015 B Class?

The same was true for the Toyota RAV4EV and others as well... Apparently manufacturers don't want to spend a lot of money on cars that sell in small numbers... I agree that it is crazy and stupid.

    I got a lease quote.

MB, like most luxury brands, is usually 4 years/50K, unlike Nissan's 3 years/36K...

    I got a lease quote.

10,000 miles a year is simply silly. I've been averaging about 14,500 on my Leaf on a 15,000 mile lease.

    Real world range test

Actually, with electronic speedometers and odometers these days, that is not necessarily true. Once can be fast and the other dead-on... A case in point is the Leaf: You can change the speedometer calibration (which is almost always fast) in the diagnostics menu but it does not change the...

    Real world range test

Did you check the speedometer calibration as a couple of miles an hour error can make a significant difference...

    Residual on a 36-months lease?

The main thing that is keeping me from considering it is no QC... Well, and to a lesser extent, the effectively higher lease price, percentage-wise... I won't be ready to replace the Leaf until early next year and hopefully both of those considerations will be nullified by then... I expect to...

    BMW i3 stupid dealer tricks...

I hope that MB dealers are a little better trained and knowledgeable about the ED... I filled out the BMW i3 extended test drive application and got an email from a fellow at Center BMW. My exchange with him showed that there is no limit to stupidity among manufacturer's dealership...

What kind of range are you getting?

You are apparently luckier than most and very average then... Millions of miles of data on the Leaf show this not to generally be the case, with large swings based on usage, location, elevation and terrain... The only thing that produces directly comparable and repeatable numbers is a...

JESLA full 40 amp Portable Charge Cable

As with the Leaf, it only charges at 12 amps maximum so it is pretty slow... It is also built VERY cheaply and lightly - much more so than the Panasonic that comes with the Leaf - so you definitely would not want to use it on a regular basis.

What kind of range are you getting?

As those of us in the Leaf community learned long ago, any range tests done under less than controlled conditions will produce numbers that are largely meaningless for comparison... Day to day driving numbers are just too variable to be very useful...

JESLA full 40 amp Portable Charge Cable

He is referring to the portable EVSE that comes with the car, not aftermarket charging options. I don't have any specs on it but I'll venture a guess that, like the portable EVSEs included with most EVs in this country, it is 120 volt only... Wire gauge has no relevance in this context as it...

B Class Electric Drive post your pictures

The EPA measures actual power pulled from the wall to charge it versus miles driven, so it is a very accurate and direct measurement of efficiency. The MPGe raw number is somewhat meaningless but it is very good for direct comparisons to other EVs..

You just succinctly stated some of the reasons why I consider the i3 to be over the top... I also believe that the ED went too far the other direction... But then, since it is not a purpose-built EV like the Leaf or i3, but rather an adaption of an ICE, some of that is to be expected... One...

Lots of care look "inoffensive" but that does not mean I'd want to own them... At 50K, I want something that is more than just inoffensive... I actually like the looks of the Leaf; at least it stands out from the crowd... The i3, on the other hand, is just too far over the top...

I like the interior but I still can't warm up to the exterior... It just looks so incredibly bland.
