What kind of range are you getting?

It's based in part on how you drove the last 10-20 miles or so, so it will be constantly different...

    Keyless-go option

Unfortunately, it appears that the 2015 ED will not get the new styling, at least in the U.S. No word on whether or not it will get keyless upgrade...

    Keyless-go option

I haven't had a keyless car yet (BMW, Nissan, Ford) that I could not lock without the key... You just need to know the procedure...

Leasing Grey / Brown 2014 w/ all options

So, is your goal to ultimately have had one of every major EV out there? :) Who are you getting it from?

MB instructional videos on driving tips and charging

I wonder how they wrote this with a straight face, considering it has one of the lowest, if not the lowest, MPGe ratings of any EV...

converting a regular house outlet to 220 volts

The amperage will be the same but the voltage will be double. Thus, twice the power and half the charging time...

    Charge rate is very slow

It's possible to get some wild numbers with the GOM. I live at the top of a long hill and it can show 30 miles or so when I get to the top and when I turn around again and hit the bottom, three times that amount... There is a reason why it is called the GOM...

    Charge rate is very slow

Yes, all electric cars have those in one form or another but it does not give enough granularity or precision to really be of use in determining range, exact battery level, or consumption. That is what you need a digital SOC meter reading in percent for.

    Charge rate is very slow

    State Of Charge in percent.

Full charge and only 66 miles range?

That last one is my favorite... You have to wonder how that ever made it out of software testing and QC!
  11. T

    Charge rate is very slow

It should be around 3 to 4 miles per hour on 120... I suspect that the GOM is lying to you for whatever reason (that NEVER happens ;))... Without an actual SOC display in the car, it is damn hard to figure out where you really are... You would think that MB would have learned from others...

Range package - electrically heated windshield

Most people will not be comfortable running their EV to exhaustion...

Full charge and only 66 miles range?

No they shouldn't. If you are trying to figure exactly what range you have left, the two most important data points are current efficiency at the wheels and current energy available. Using that info from the dash of my Leaf and my Lincomatic meter, I can figure my actual usable range to within...

Range package - electrically heated windshield

My EVSE has a watt hour meter so I can track it accurately... However, even that can lead you astray as the only accurate way to get usable and repeatable Whr data is by running the battery down to a defined benchmark such as turtle (or at least to exactly LBW (49 Gids) or VLBW (24 Gids)) and...

Full charge and only 66 miles range?

It is very odd that resetting the trip odometer would have an affect on the GOM as the two should not be in any way related... The GOM does not use the trip odometer but instead, a much shorter tracking distance, for its calculations. I wonder if MB simply used that reset function to also...

Range package - electrically heated windshield

It is quite possible to balance a pack at less then 100% charge by reading and tracking the individual cell imbalance - just as you can also do at 100% - and applying the appropriate shunts to the highest cells. What is unknown is whether or not MB does this...

Range package - electrically heated windshield

Actually, we have absolutely no idea if this is true with the ED and its BMS! We do know it is no longer true with the Leafs from 2013 on...
