When I plugin my 2015 BED to my home 110V AC outlet, the red indicators start blinking. I'm sure that the AC outlet is working for regular lamps, etc, and I've tested the charging cable elsewhere which turned out to be working, too, could anyone please tell me whether there is a amp requirement for charging? There wasn't a RESET button on the outlet, nor could I find any information in the user manual.

Thank you guys!

It defaults to 8A so that would need a 10A circuit ( 8A is 80% of 10A.)

I consider the Lear junk and I replaced mine but it is under warranty. You should be able to get another $1000 Lear EVSE at a dealer. Mine is on the shelf waiting for lease turn in.

Since the charger works else where it is a problem with the circuit you are using. If you are only planning on using the supplied level 1 charger I would ask your electrician for a 20amp dedicated outlet. If you want it to work longer ask him/her to use a GFCI breaker instead of a GFCI outlet. However you should look at level 2 chargers and having a matching outlet added. The difference in charge time between level 1 and level 2 chargers is night and day.

If you need a short term fix use a 12awg extension cord from a bathroom, dining room, or kitchen outlet.

I love my level 2 charger from Seimens.
