I am based near London, UK. I am an retired electronic design engineer. I had my B250e ( manufactured September 2015) since December 23 . I am using a icarsoft CR Ultra, to clear lots of stored faults carried forward from previous owners. The most positive action I have done is to change...
When you replace the 12 volt battery . You need to tell the cpu that you have replaced. You need use a diagnostic db2 scanner/ tool and tel the system of the new battery information like capacity, cca etc . You can't just replace the 12 v battery and forget it like the old school way.
Remember when you replace the 12 volt battery. You need to tell the system that you have replaced the battery. You can do this with some obd2 diagnostic/ programmable tool . Otherwise the system may overcharge/ undercharge the new battery and it not last long
I believe it could be done as the desiccant is the same , Ie if you heat up the desiccant, the moisture boils away . And it's ready once again to absorb moisture again until it gets saturated again . Its a physical process and not a chemical one .
Just a update. Icarsoft CR ultra scanner firmware has been updated few days days ago . Now it clears the HV gateway fault. The error keeps coming back after the ignition is switched off and on again. But can cleared again
Then press the call button on Rhs on steering. And OK button on Lhs on steering wheel for 3 seconds. You will notice notice the dashboard display will show charge current etc . Play about on the menu and check the remote climate control status and the charging rate status and set them...
I am not sure , but in the UK , its 240vac normal domestic household voltage ( i know its 110vac in usa) , I have checked and I have charged it at 16Amp single-phase 240vac . I haven't tested at 240vac 3 phase as I don't have access to 3phase supply
Also make sure of the following settings in engineering mode .
1) make sure remote climate settings is enabled. There is a option to enable/ disable it .
2) there is an option of setting the charge level ( 8 Amp , 10 Amp and Maximum).Make sure it is set at maximum.
The maximum charge you can...
You can check the voltage of the 12 volt battery by plugging a USB cigarette lighter port with voltage reading . With the ignition switch on it should read at at least 13.8 vdc . With the green " ready " message on dashboard . The voltage should be at least 14..8 volt. Otherwise the high...
I brought the dessicat from MB dealer in London. 🇬🇧 UK. The part number is A 242 340 08 01. It has two sachets, both sealed in air right aluminium foil . See photos
I brought my B250e fully loaded, 2016 in December 23. To date I have the following done. I brought the car near Birmingham. I live near London. UK .
1. Checked all fluid levels. One cooling level was a bit low , so I topped it up . DIY
2. Giving air quality sensor of Ac faulty . Check errors...
I am in London, UK too. My 2016 bclass ev is the same ,ie just B250e badge on tailgate and " electric drive" in white lettering ( i have a blue car ) on each of the rear doors.
My B class 2016 electric drive developed a crack on the windscreen. I am claiming via insurance and they will only allow autoglass to fix it. Autoglass couldn't find any " like for like " windscreen. So they are ordering it from mercedes ( not sure whether they are getting it from mercedes uk...
Thanks for your comments . There were other error codes, but this was cleared by my icarsoft Cr Ultra . But it it didn't clear the air quality sensor and the internal high voltage battery. There was also a mot advisary say that the front offside ( uk registered) outer cv boot has perished...
