They did it last year for free, but went out of their way to warn me that "this would be the last time." This year the same dealer said, yeah, we are required to do it. I have no idea of whats required to change it.

My dealer is doing this for free during the annual battery inspection. Last year they said they wouldn't do it any more, however, this year the service rep stated they read the warranty manual, and they are responsible for it. I was shocked, as I wasn't expecting this.

@PatricioEV describes happens in our Prius and Highlander hybrid. I have never had this happen in the B-class. I do get lurch sometimes while stop with the foot on the brake. It feels like the motor pulses.

Never seen this one Jeff. We got the dreaded "visit workshop" error on Sunday (first time since having the drive unit replaced). Simply stopped and restarted the car, all was fine.

I actually took my E350 (my first Benz) into the dealer for this. The service tech kindly informed me that it is for fog, and only on one side as to not to confuse it with a stuck brake light on situation.

Peter, That is pretty standard behavior with the range estimate. I'm assuming you did not hit the extended range button before charging. When I rarely do that, we can get about 10% more range, but the range meter starts high and quickly tails off.
