My baby just got new shoes

Are those run flat tires. There is no spare.

    Battery charging question

Not in the North East USA in the winter. 65 miles might be about right.

Need B-Class for Range Test, 27 Dec 2014, Irvine CA

Oh right. Range test. I am a hypermiler so I am used to efficiency contests for gas cars. It would be interesting to also get the owners in your range test to then charge at a Chargepoint where the exact energy consumption per mile could also be compared.

    Battery charging question

There are several threads on this already. The GuessOMeter uses you average consumption from previous trips to calculate the expected range remaining. If you could drive more efficiently and only preheat the vehicle ect. you will get more range. Winter is hard on efficiency with energy being...

Need B-Class for Range Test, 27 Dec 2014, Irvine CA

How will you run the test with all of the different cars? Like an efficiency competition all on the same course with observed fill ups at the end?

    Has anyone bought it yet?

Taking away the tax makes that about $33,500. For a $48,000 sticker car. This sounds more like the current give away lease price which already has the $7,500 Federal rebate applied. Or if this really is a purchase and not a lease, the F.I. guy at the dealership made a monumental screw up and...

    B-Class ED in Georgia

They did. And more. The B Class ED is the cheapest Mercedes you can lease right now in any of the electric mandate states. Including the so-so CLA.

    B-Class ED in Georgia

You still get this with the lease since MBCC is buying the car from MBUSA, they get the credit and pass it on to the consumer as one of the massive discounts currently advertised in the low lease prices. Discounts of almost $18,000 have been reported here lately which include the $7,500 federal...

    Malfunction - Visit Workshop

not the web site. The dealer uses Netstar and Mbrace which is the red ecall button in the car.

    Malfunction - Visit Workshop

Call the dealer and see what they say. The new C class actually has the functionability to read the codes remotely through MBrace. Wouldn't that be nice right about now.

    Malfunction - Visit Workshop

Is that "Park" MIL also part of it? There was a thread where people were getting a "drive to workshop without shifting" warning that MB said to ignore until the programming update was ready.

How much do you pay for electricity?

That is the rate you are buying the electricity generation for but that is not what you are paying for electricity. Line fees, service fees, and taxes must be considered in these discussions. The only way to fairly say what you are paying is to take the bottom dollar on your bill and divide it...

Good find. This is just what we have been talking about.

    COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST

Have you ever felt it do anything? If not, why disable it?

    Drive Program and Estimated miles

Some people only show 60 miles on the GOM after a full charge. It depends on your previous average consumption. Short trips in cold weather knock the average way down due to the heat ect.

    Leasing

I thought the $10,500 incentive from MB included the $7,500 Federal tax incentive and a $3,000 Fleet incentive ( available to various associations like Doctors and Lawyers) already.

    Range - Temperature

The Ecell gauge is the small, round gauge on the right, inside the large round power gauge. It will normally be straight up at 100% and shows how much of the maximum power is available. If the battery or drive were to get too hot while climbing a mountain in hot weather, the E-cell gauge would...

    Range - Temperature

Unfortunately manufacturers only quote national test data so this is all an early adopter has to go on until a sizable sample of users start logging their real world energy efficiency. Which there is no log section here as there is at Ecomodders. Hopefully Fuelly will add these cars soon. ...

    Range - Temperature

Now that you have watched the video yourself, what do you think? I see a couple things. The most obvious is when you parked the car at the end of the first trip the GOM said 40mi. When you started the car for the second trip after it sat, the GOM siad 34mi and quickly went right to 33. So it...
